I’ve been making Gunpla for a little over a year now! I haven’t made many, but I think I’ve made enough to say I really enjoy the hobby. Now is a better time than any to consider taking it up if you ask me! This guy is my second Master Grade (1/100 Scale) and I decided to try weathering for the first time. It felt really nice doing something a little uncomfortable. I mean, why would you want to intentionally fuck up the model you spent hours patiently building? I wasn’t so sure when I started it but I just had to remind myself trust the process. Learnt some cool tech along the way like using an x-acto knife for the scars and filling them in with pencil crayons and taking a lighter to a thumb tac for bullet wounds. Oh and metallic sharpies are amazing for details btw. Most of the materials I used were from Dollarama haha, just gotta make use of what you have. I found this build a nice stress reliever for me, things haven’t been the greatest lately so it was nice to sit down and make something cool. I’m super happy with how he turned out. Definitely looking forward to building more Gunpla.
